Choosing the right size

Did you know that research shows that 70% of all women wear the wrong bra size. A poorly fitting bra is the reason why many women suffer from backache and headaches. A well-fitting bra is one that you would be happy to wear all the time.

How to choose the right size bra for you

Lean forward when putting on your bra. With a bra of the correct size, your breasts should fill the cups completely. Then adjust the shoulder straps. Make sure the straps do not dig into your shoulders nor slip down because they are too loose. The simplest way to check that you have adjusted them correctly is to slide one of the shoulder straps off your shoulder. If the other shoulder strap slips down, you need to tighten them both. The back strap should sit straight and not ride up the spine. If your skin forms a fold hanging over the edge of the strap, your bra is too small.

Are you sure about your size?

It is not unusual for your bust size to change. Always try on a bra before making a purchase.

To find your bra size, you need to measure yourself in two places: around the fullest part of the bust and under the bust. The difference in centimetres between the measurement under the bust and around the fullest part of the bust determines the cup size.

This is what you do: Put on a bra (preferably a smooth one) that fits well without pushing your breasts together. Measure around the fullest part of the bust using a flexible tape measure. Then you visit our size guide and let the computer do the maths.

Try the bra with your eyes

If your measurements are accurate, there is a good chance you will have arrived at the correct size. But don't forget to use your eyes. It is important for the bra to be comfortable and to appear to fit properly. This may mean you need to adjust the size slightly.
