How to wash your swimwear properly
1. Rinse immediately after use
Always rinse your swimwear in cold, clean water right after swimming – whether in a pool, sea or lake. This removes chlorine, salt and dirt that otherwise break down the elastane and fabric.
2. Avoid sunlight when wet
Never dry wet swimwear in direct sunlight – it can cause fading and weaken the material. Instead, lay it flat in the shade and let it air dry gently.
3. Hand washing is best
Ideally, wash by hand in cold water using a mild liquid detergent. Avoid fabric softeners and spin cycles. Rinse thoroughly to remove any detergent residue.
4. Do not wring – press instead
Wringing out swimwear can damage the fit. Instead, gently roll it in a clean towel to press out the water before laying it flat to dry.

Extra tip: sun & sunscreen
Sun protection is essential – but apply your sunscreen well in advance of putting on your swimwear. This helps avoid stains and residue, especially on light or delicate fabrics.
